Morning Is As Good A Time As Any For The Best Ice Cream In Paris

 After Notre Dame, we headed around back of the cathedral, crossed the short pedestrian bridge to the Ile St. Louis, the smaller island on the Seine, and crossed the street to Berthillon,

This famous cafe is called by some as the best ice cream in Paris, although there's a long list of "best ice cream" shops, just like best cheese shops, best macarons, and best cafes.

Anyhow, despite being cold, we decided to sit outside, in the shade, and, yes, eat ice cream.  It was a good test for my stomach and my ability to stay warm.  My stomach passed the test, my ability to stay warm failed.

But, more importantly, the ice cream was excellent and made a bit of freezing well worth our while.  It's also a great location for people watching.
