The obelisk.
Swiss Guards. One of the coolest and
most moving sculptures is the dead lion
in the rock sculpture in Lucerne,
Switzerland. Approximately 760 Swiss
Guards died protecting King Louis
the 16th during the storming of the
Tuileries Palace during the French
Revolution. That event has nothing to
do with the Vatican/the Pope, but it
is still an amazing sculpture.
Their uniforms? Said to have been
designed by Michelangelo.
