Driving In Virgin Gorda

You would think that driving on an island as small as Virgin Gorda would not be much of an adventure, but then you would be wrong.  First, the steering wheel is on the left side (the correct side as we Americans would note), but you also drive on the left side.  Occasionally the girls and Carol have to remind me to keep to the left – and right turns are strange.

But it’s more than that – the open air cab drivers and workers drive their trucks at unusually high rates of speed.  The roads dip, climb and provide plenty of blind turns – especially outside of Spanish Town, heading either North toward Hog Heaven or back on the south side from Leverick Bay.  Coming back yesterday, there was a concrete truck taking up 80% of the road, which leaves very little for the Tahoe to make it past.
It’s like driving in Europe or something!
