It's morning now. . .one of my favorite times of the day here. . .first, I open up the house and the tradewinds cool it. There's a five panel nine foot high glass doors that fold open, and two large doors on either side by the kitchen table. No need for airconditioning in the main living area. . .so we keep the doors open until closing time at bed. . .which I haven't been able to stay up for the last two nights. . .the fun in the sun takes it out of me.
The sun comes up over the mountain. . .slowly lighting up the channel. . .then the beach. . .then the palms. . .and then the gardens. . .then the pool. It's really beautiful to watch. And, in the background, ships of various sizes (usually big) go past the perfectly framed view.
Maddy gave me mini wireless speakers for Christmas. . .using it a lot here in the main house for my BVI playlist. . .a lot of Kenny Chesney. . .Beach Boys. . .Jimmy Buffet. . .ZBB. . .and less of the outlaw stuff I tend to favor.
So far, seen a dead duck and a badly wounded chicken on the roads here. . .apparently the chicken was crossing the road. . .trying to get to the other side. . .eventually died. Roads aren't that safe for man nor beast!
Today's sailboat day. . .heading out on the Sail Bravura soon. . .the weather back home has been miserbly cold. . .not just Monday's snow. . .but rain and cold. . .so sorry we're here and not there! Not.
