Safari Photos -- Day Two, Morning Edition

6:00 am sunrise

Whoa.

Kudus are kewl.

The females aren't quite as interesting.

Green parrots on a bird morning.

Zazu!

Hornbill Highway.

Wild beast, or wildebeest?

Wildebeest, Zebra, and Impala

The rare two-headed, butt-melded wildebeest

This orange-footed Bateleur eagle is very talon-ted.

As fast as its namesake, the leopard turtle
also drags its kill up a tree to eat.

Our Ranger was always Just-in time
with his interesting animal info.

An old African legend is that zebra butts are brown
because, well, they aren't real good with Charmin

Birds on the hoof.

Two zebras are nothing to sneeze at.

It's pronounced "zaay-brah" not "zee-bruh"

Where's Waldo?  Look closely, there's a monkey there.

Pumba, but no Timon.

It's not a statue.  This impala is real.

This eagle has a white head, tail, and looks like a
Bald Eagle.  But isn't.  It's the African Fish Eagle.
