As we were hiking our second day along the coastal trail, we encountered numerous muddy spots, particularly on short, steep downhills.
One gentlemen in the group started to slip, and was about to fall down the cliffside to his death on the rocks below. I grabbed the strap of his backpack and kept him from falling. He was quite appreciative.
(Editor’s Note: That’s NOT what happened. Yes, he started to slip, and yes you caught his backpack strap and kept him from falling, but he only would have fallen on the rocks and mud of the trail. Saved him a bruised backside and muddy pants, but you did not save his life!)
(Blogger: What’s more interesting, my fantastical story or your reliance on facts?)
(Editor: Hey, wait, is this a political allegory?)
