Photos From Kew Gardens

Believe it or not, I fought the temptation to include pictures of all the different types of roses, because this post would just go on and on.  Anyhow, enjoy the photos that are here.

Palm House and environs:

Both sets of flowers are from
out front of Palm House.

If this isn't known as the
"Drunken Lion" it should be.

In the Palm House:

Chamaedorea oblongata

Red Helicoina

Pachystachys lutea, aka
the lollipop plant.

Hibiscus.

Heliconia, aka "False
Bird of Paradise."

Neoregelia cyanea, I believe.  If I'm wrong,
feel free to drop me a correction.

Rose Garden

Believe it or not, these ARE roses.
Ballerina Hybrid Musk Roses

A Rose By Any Other Name.

Wouldn't necessarily smell as sweet.

Treetop Walkway
Carol and Rick at the treetops.

The view from 60 feet up.

The Temperate House from
a break in the trees.
