"You're Finished, You're Foolish, You Failed" -- Slow Horses Tour Photos

Okay, so there's more photos than I expected for a TV show tour, and they are fun.  Not all the photos are linked to Slow Horses -- some are interesting historical buildings:

The Slow Horses, on the run,
have  a meeting at William
Blake's gravestone.  It is a
pivotal scene in Season 1
in the Bunhill cemetery.
Blake was a painter and
poet who became famous
after his death. We saw
a bunch of his artwork in
the Tate Britain.  Carol liked
his work.  I'm of the "if you
can't anything nice. . ."
school.

The bus stop across from
Slough Horses where the
Slow Horses were being
watched from. Season 3.

The actual address of
Slough House, although
it's not the same place
as shown on TV.
This restaurant served as Jackson
 Lamb's go-to Chinese restaurant.
Season 2, episode 1.

Susannah pointed out a scene where
they forgot to cover the signs on the
restaurant when it was in the
background
of filming.

Also in season 2, episode 4, Rebecca
thinks  Lamb is giving her a secret
number within MI5 for help and to
ask for the "number seven" but it's the
Chinese restaurant and the seven is his
favorite dish.

He's a right cynical bastard but we
love his character.

This is the staircase to the
door of Slough House.  They
bring in garbage to make
the neighborhood look run
down.  The use of rain
machines makes it look
dark and dreary.

This is not part of the show, but is a
Tudor building that had been covered
up for a long time and recently
uncovered to show off the decorative
 half timbering.

The courtyard of Saint Bartholomew the
Great Church was in at least one
episode.  There also is, next door, a
church called Saint Bartholomew
the Less.

Shirley Dander runs down this
alley and pops out nowhere
near this alley during a scene
during season 3, episode 2

This is the Barbican Bridge
where River meets with
Webb, who is one of the most
dislikable villains in a show in
a long time.  Season 3,
episode 2.

Not in the show, but part of
the original Roman wall
around Londonium.
Roman ruins will always
be noted in this blog.

Ruins of a medieval tower.

In this apartment block, which
is much nicer in reality than
the way it is depicted in the
show, "Bad Sam" Chapman
is looking to question someone,
but is surrounded by young
toughs threatening to beat him.
He gets away unscathed.
I can't figure out the episode
or season, but I remember
the scene.

St. Giles and the deer, in the
wall of the medieval St. Giles
Cripplegate Church.

St. Mary Aldermanbury
on Wood Street.  Now a
private home, it was built
by Christopher Wren after
the Great Fire.

The Guildhall in the City of London.
Built in 1440, it was only partially
damaged in the Great Fire.

The Guildhall Art Museum, which (to me)
features Roman ruins in the basement.

The wonderful coat of arms of The City.

Mick is on the left, Carol is
the pink splotch behind him.
Susannah and her tablet.
The scene is St. Leonard's
church, the church for funerals
and burials "for officers
in good standing."  In episode
of season 2, Lamb gives the
worst funeral oration ever
for Min's memorial service.

A demon looks down from the top of a
building.  The demon's job is to frighten
and curse a nearby neighbor who did
not get along with the man who had
the building constructed back in the day.

Leadenhall Market.  It's
become a prime Happy Hour
hangout for financial district
workers.  It was used as a
filming location in Harry Potter
and the Sorcerer's Stone.
It was also .used in Slow
Horses -- Episode 1, Season
3, as well as other scenes,
including a backdrop of
Roddy's flat.

I used AI to identify the Season/episode information in the photo captions.  I love the show, but I sure did not remember that level of detail!
