Gothic, Renaissance, and Baroque Art That I Deemed Worthy Of Photos

Okay, the title is a bit grandiose, but I'm a bit punch drunk after flying home for nine hours.

We called it a day after another snack (underwhelming art gallery sandwich and water), and headed down to Placa Espanyol.  We decided to go into the old bull ring, which has retained it’s original shape and grandeur on the outside, but on the inside is a mall.

The main escalator to the restaurants at the top were broken, and the elevator was always full, so we made our way up the old fashioned way (walking up the stopped escalator), wondering if it was worth it.  Lunch at La Botiga restaurant was fine, but the attraction are the views.  Including a nearby giant Miro sculpture that IS one of his works that I like.

MNAC and some fountains.

Joan Miro sculpture in a park
named after him.  I really
do like this piece.  It's called
"Dona i Ocell" -- the woman
and the bird.  He did this at
age 89, a year before his death.

Street art.

MNAC from the top of the bull ring mall.

The Venetian Towers.
