Time For A Quick Stop

For all my joking about the Romantic Road, it was pretty neat to drive.  Especially when it was snowing. . .although, thankfully, there was little to no accumulation on the road.  Our next stop was Tauberbischofsheim, which was about 25 minutes from Wertheim.

We went to see Castle Kurmainzisches, which proved to be perhaps the most underwhelming castle we've ever seen.  The town itself is quaint, but the castle is not what we think of when we think of castles.  It's a timber frame house, built in the 1600s.  There is a tower, but nothing else that would cause a person to look at it and say, "hey, that's a castle."

We wandered around the town a bit more, got back into the car, and headed further down the Romantic Road.  It was a pretty underwhelming stop.
