Cathedral Photos -- First Day In Havana

Remember, click on any photo to
view larger.  More detail that way.

There are beautiful random courtyards with arches
and palms like this one all thru old Havana.

There are remnants of the old city wall, and
guardhouse all throughout Old Havana.

Shockingly to me, there are FAR more monuments
to Jose Marti than to Fidel Castro.  Interesting to
see if that changes now that Fidel is dead.

One of the two towers
of the cathedral.

In memory of Gene Wilder, "What knockers!"

The altar

Halfway up the Tower.

I can't remember his name, but
his face sure rings a bell.

Beautiful roof pattern.

Refurb on a building in the Plaza de la Cathedral.

The Nacional Capitolo in the distance.

More of Havana from the
top of the Cathedral Tower.

El Morro -- the main fort that guarded the
port of Havana.  "Moor" on that later!

The Cathedral and El Morro.  Very cool shot.

At the top -- nice Polish American
woman from Chicago took the pic.

Palm tree in the sky across from the Cathedral.
