867-5309

So after the HeroRAT demonstration, those who wanted to hold a HeroRAT had to wash their hands.  Of the seven of us who went, five of us got to hold the rat.

Once we were informed our rat's name is Jenny, we all went there -- Tommy Tutone and his hit song "867-5309/Jenny" immediately leapt to mind.

We had to wash our hands first, so we did.

(Editor: You had to wash your hands to hold a rat?  The people of New York City are laughing right now.)

There isn't much to tell, except that it is the most amazing animal interaction Carol and I had since we got to feed Toto the giraffe from our back porch in the Lewa Conservancy in Kenya.

And, remember, as you look at the pictures, these African southern giant pouched rats are so much cuter than, say, Pizza Rat in New York City.

So, anyhow, here's some pictures of happy G Adventures travelers holding Jenny whilst humming "867-5309."

Vicki's a natural!

Vale, on his best date in years!
(Just kidding, he's a great guy.
Ladies, if you are looking for
a very nice man to date, I can
sell you his phone number for
a fair price.)

When you've raised our three
kids, holding a rat really isn't
that hard.  (Kidding! I
keep getting myself in
trouble!)

A handsome guy, a handsome rat, and me.
