Arches, and courtyards, and
fountains, oh my!
Look closely at the plaster carving
on the underside of the arch.
I think this would be a good look for
one of the room ceilings in our house.
And this would be an even better ceiling.
It's the grand ceiling from the 1300s
in the Hall of the Ambassadors (Salon
de Embajadores). In Islam, The room
is a cube representing Earth and
the dome is the starry heavens.
It's magnificient.
Look at how ornate this
work is. Just stunning.
Another Mudejar ceiling.
The top of the Giralda of the
Seville Cathedral. Picture
taken from a courtyard
in the Royal Alcazar.
The entry way into the Royal Alcazar.
This is the entry gate to the
Royal Alcazar. It practically
shouts "I am a Lion. I am
the King of Spain."
I'm sure there's a reason this two rabbits
are on the tiling work, but I sure don't
know the reason.
One of the gardens, fit for a king.
The Giralda from
a garden view.
