That's what I'm calling these posts from now on -- "Rando Photos Post: (CITY NAME) Edition." That means there's no specific post connected to the photos, just some cool random photos of a place that I like, and you should like too! (You don't have to, but it would be nice).
The architecture on Plaza
de San Francisco is
fantastic Sevillian artistry.
The Plaza was the site of the Spanish
Inquisition's auto-da-fe (burning of
heretics) and later served as a
location for bullfights.
City Hall
The umbrellas belong to two
different tapas bars. Not sure
what the building is used for,
but the architecture is quite
attractive.
The double eagle represents the House
of Habsburg, famous for their
mandibular prognathism, in which,
because of intermarriage, the lower jaw
juts out further than the upper jaw.
Not to be snotty, but they also had
large noses with a bump and sharp
hanging tip. They may have ruled
much of Europe, but they were pretty ugly.
Inbreeding. . .not just for West Virginia.
Anyhow, now that I've trashed a
whole royal lineage and a very
pretty state, time to move on.
Note the little mouse reading a little
book down in the left corner. Excellent
use of public art.
