On the way back from Pakokku Market, we stopped at a chili field where the harvest was going on. Everyone in the group made jokes about touching the chilis and then touching their eyes. Nobody actually did it, which means we all were not as dumb as we look.
(Back in 8th grade -- at good ol' Sparta Junior High School -- at the height of my snottiness, a substitute teacher yelled, "I'm not as dumb as I look, you know." Her next time in, she was yelling at us again, and I noted loudly -- "remember Gary, she's not as dumb as she looks, you know." To my limited credit, I actually felt bad at the time, and still do.)
