Monday morning, before the longest drive of the trip to Villabla de la Sierra, a small village about twelve miles from Cuenca, we went into three churches that weren’t open on the weekend (except for service). All were relatively simple and small: San Millan (church by our hotel), Corpus Christi (former mosque turned synagogue turned church), and the Church of St. Martin.
I call them ten-minute churches because that’s all the time we had to explore them, as hotel check-out time was draw nigh.
These two photos are from San Millan.
Corpus Christi, where you can see
elements of the mosque and
the synagogue.
